Licence Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

These terms apply to all digital downloads, STL files, licensed resources and subscription-style licences sold by Tactile Tiles Ltd.

By purchasing, downloading or accessing any licensed product, you agree to these terms.

All licences grant permission to use files under specific conditions. Ownership of designs is not transferred.


2. Definitions

Licensor – Tactile Tiles Ltd
Licensee – The purchaser, named individual, school, organisation or authorised setting
Design Files – STL files, digital downloads or licensed resources supplied by Tactile Tiles Ltd
Licensed Site – The single school, organisation or household covered by the purchased licence


3. Licence Types

We may offer licences including:

  • Parent / Household Licences
  • Single School Site Licences
  • Trust / Multi-Site Licences
  • Local Authority / Organisation Licences
  • Custom Bespoke Licences

Each licence is limited to the purchaser and licence type selected at checkout unless otherwise agreed in writing.


4. Grant of Licence

Tactile Tiles Ltd grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, time-limited licence to use the purchased files for the purposes allowed within the purchased licence type.

This licence grants permission to use the files. It does not transfer ownership or copyright.


5. Permitted Use

Depending on licence type purchased, the Licensee may:

  • Download supplied files
  • 3D print tactile tiles, boards or related resources
  • Print multiple copies for authorised internal use
  • Reprint lost, damaged or worn items during the active licence term
  • Use printed resources for education, communication, intervention or support purposes
  • Provide printed resources to individual learners for home use where this supports routines, transitions or continuity of provision

6. Restrictions

Unless expressly agreed in writing, the Licensee must not:

  • Sell printed products made from our files
  • Commercially distribute printed items
  • Share, transfer or sublicense files
  • Upload files to public websites or shared repositories
  • Provide files to third parties
  • Use one licence across multiple sites where only one site is licensed
  • Continue printing after licence expiry without renewal
  • Remove branding or claim ownership of designs

7. Printing Location

Where a school or site licence is purchased, printing should normally take place within the licensed setting unless otherwise agreed in writing by Tactile Tiles Ltd.


8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights, copyrights, trademarks, designs and branding remain the sole property of Tactile Tiles Ltd.

Purchase grants a licence to use files only. No ownership rights are transferred.


9. Licence Term

Unless otherwise stated, licences are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Some products may state different durations or permanent access where clearly specified.


10. Expiry & Renewal

Upon licence expiry:

  • Permission to continue printing new items ends
  • Access to downloads, updates or replacement files may be suspended
  • Renewal may restore access and permissions

Previously printed items may continue to be used unless otherwise stated.


11. Safety & Supervision

Printed products are not toys unless specifically stated.

Use should be supervised appropriately depending on learner age, needs and risk profile.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Safe use of printed items
  • Safe operation of 3D printers
  • Correct printer settings
  • Suitable materials selection

Tactile Tiles Ltd accepts no responsibility for misuse, unsafe printing practices or unsupervised use.


12. Digital Product Refunds

Due to the nature of digital products, downloadable files and licence access are generally non-refundable once supplied or accessed, unless required by law.

If there is a genuine issue with a file, please contact us and we will work to resolve it.


13. Termination

Tactile Tiles Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate licences where these terms are materially breached.

Upon termination, further use of files must cease immediately.


14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Purchase, download or access to licensed files constitutes acceptance of these terms.
