Description
Use the Emotions TacTiles Set to help learners identify and share how they feel. The set contains 12 tactile symbols: Happy, Sad, Angry, Excited, Worried, Calm, Tired, Shocked, Upset, Love, Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down. Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down also show “like” and “dislike.”
Each tile measures 5 cm × 5 cm (2 in × 2 in) and is 3D printed from durable, washable plastic. Larger sizes are available on request.
Daily Use
Add these tiles to daily check-ins, circle time and difficult moments. Use them with the Zones of Regulation (coloured sets coming soon). Pair them with real situations or photos of facial expressions for learners who have some vision.
Benefits
– Learners share feelings without speaking
– Reduce anxiety and frustration
– Support self-regulation when upset
– Combine with an Emotion Choice Board for structure
Examples in Practice
A learner looks distressed. Offer the tiles. They can choose “Tired,” “Worried” or “Angry” to show what they feel.
Parents can model emotions by picking a tile for themselves, then asking their child to choose one.
Teachers can run class check-ins where learners share their feelings and decide how to support each other.
See our How-to Guide for tips on introducing and using TacTiles (internal link).
